Dashboard Layout Issues
When opening the VirtualPools dashboard, you might occasionally notice that the layout looks incomplete or slightly off. Certain sections may appear cut off, compressed, or not fully visible.
In nearly all cases, this is not a system error. It is simply the result of your screen size or browser window being too narrow, which causes the dashboard to switch to a compact layout automatically.
Example: Compressed Layout

Why This Happens
The VirtualPools dashboard is built as a responsive web application. This means it automatically adjusts its layout depending on the size of your screen and the width of your browser window.
If your browser window is too narrow, for example, when using split screen, a smaller laptop, or a zoomed-in view, the interface reorganizes itself into a compact format. Some panels collapse, menus shrink, and certain sections stack vertically instead of appearing side by side.
This behavior is intentional and ensures the dashboard remains usable across different screen sizes.
Three-Line Menu (☰)
If your screen is narrow, you may notice a three-line icon (☰) in the top-left corner of the dashboard.
This is the navigation menu in compact mode.
When the dashboard detects a smaller screen width, it automatically hides the full sidebar to save space. All sections are still available, they are simply collapsed into this menu.

The Fix: Make It Full Screen
In most cases, the solution is simple: make your browser window wider. Start by maximizing your browser window so it fills your entire screen. If you are using split screen, drag the divider to give VirtualPools more space.
If the layout still looks compressed, check your browser zoom level. Zooming out slightly can restore the full layout:
- Press **Ctrl - **on Windows
- Press Cmd - on Mac
As soon as the window is wide enough, the dashboard will automatically return to its full layout. No restart or reinstallation is needed.

Still Not Resolved?
If the layout still appears unusual after resizing your window, try refreshing the page. A simple reload can resolve temporary display inconsistencies.
