Managing your poolbuilder

The "My Pool Builders" page is where suppliers control pool builder access to their products. For "On Request" accounts, pool builders must seek permission, which can be accepted or declined here. Public profiles don't require permission, but access can still be revoked. This page also serves as a lead generation tool, offering insights into new pool builders using your products, with contact information available.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access the My Pool Builders Page

Locate this section on your dashboard to see which pool builders are using your products in VirtualPools.

Step 2: Review Pool Builder Requests

For "On Request" accounts, evaluate permissions requested by pool builders to access your products. These appear in your list with a pending status.

Step 3: Approve or Decline

Decide whether to grant or deny access based on your preferences and business needs. Approved builders can immediately start using your products in their designs.

Step 4: Manage Access for Public Profiles

Even with a public profile, you can restrict specific pool builders as necessary. Use the red cross symbol next to any builder to revoke their access.

Step 5: Utilize for Lead Generation

Scan the list for unfamiliar pool builders, this is a great way to discover potential new business contacts. You'll see their company name and contact information directly in the list.

Step 6: Search and Filter

Use the search bar and filters to navigate and organize your pool builder list effectively. Common filters include:

  • In Request - shows only builders waiting for approval
  • Active - builders currently using your products
  • Revoked - builders who previously had access but were removed

Pro Tip

Check your pool builder list regularly to stay updated on who is using your products and to catch new leads early. The more you know about your active builders, the better you can support them.

Common Mistakes

Not Using the Filters

It's easy to get overwhelmed if you have many pool builders. Use the filters at the top to get a more focused view. For example, the "In Request" filter shows only the builders that still need your approval, no need to scroll through the entire list.
