As a supplier using VirtualPools, managing your products is crucial. Navigate to the My Products page to see your company's offerings in VirtualPools. Here, you can update product details like names, descriptions, and thumbnails to ensure accuracy and appeal in the public catalog.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Access Product Management: Navigate to your company's product page within VirtualPools.
- Edit Product Details: Click on a product to modify its details:
Name: Confirm the product's name is correct.
Product Type: This attribute is set by your Account Manager.
Description: Provide detailed information about the product.
Image: Update the thumbnail to ensure it accurately represents the product.
Hill Placing: Specify if the product can be installed on sloped terrain.
- Publish Status: Decide whether a product is published (visible) or unpublished (in draft). Only published products are accessible to dealers.
- Use Filters: Apply filters to differentiate between published and draft products.
- Search Products: Employ the search bar to locate products by name quickly.
- Asset Uploads: If all details are complete but publishing is unavailable, your Account Manager may need to upload necessary asset files. Contact them for assistance.
Pro tip: Check the dashboard once in a while to stay updated with the latest products.
Common mistakes
- **Unpublishing products: **If you unpublish a product, it becomes unaccessible for your users. If they are not warned in front, this might confuse them. Be carefull with unpublishing.
