Create Stunning Pool Visuals

Live Mode includes a built-in camera function that allows you to capture images of the pool placed in the real environment. Once your pool design is fully adjusted to your satisfaction,placement, angle, finishes, and surrounding elements, you can capture a snapshot using the camera icon.


This means the photo includes the true-scale pool placement, the surrounding garden, current lighting conditions, shadows, reflections, and any active visual effects. What you see in Live Mode is what will be saved.


These snapshots serve as a visual record of the proposed design in its real setting. They can be used to revisit decisions, compare layout options, or provide the client with a clear reference after the meeting.


For an even more polished result, captured images can later be enhanced using the AI enhancement tool available in the VirtualPools dashboard. This process improves realism and image quality, and is explained in detail later in this article.


Capture the Shot

To capture a snapshot, use the camera button in Live Mode.


Moving slightly to the side, stepping back, or lowering the device closer to the ground can significantly change the final result. Shooting from a diagonal angle often adds more depth than a straight-on view.


Small adjustments in height and distance can enhance reflections in the water and improve the overall realism of the image.


Once you take the photo, it is automatically saved to your Snapshot Gallery, ensuring your work is preserved.

Human Detection


Human Detection is available in Live Mode under the Effects panel.


When activated, the system recognizes people within the camera view and integrates them naturally into the augmented scene. This allows individuals to appear correctly positioned in front of or next to the virtual pool within the captured image.


Including a a person in the scene improves scale perception and spatial understanding. Clients can better judge pool height, depth, and surrounding space when a human reference is visible.


Take it further, “Get in the pool” moment:

Return to the placement screen → tap Place Pool → choose Hill Mode.

Adjust altitude to raise the pool into an above‑ground style for a playful photo op



This feature supports more engaging and personalized visuals, while maintaining realistic placement within the environment.


Pro Tip: For more realistic reflections, move your tablet closer to the ground and angle it slightly downward toward the water. The sky, trees, and nearby buildings will reflect naturally on the surface, instantly adding depth and a more polished, high-quality look to your image.


Accessing Your Snapshots


All photos taken in Live Mode are automatically saved in the app’s Snapshot Gallery.


To view them, return to the main screen of the app and tap the image icon. This opens your gallery, where all captured visuals are stored.


From here, you can review your images, select the best angle, and decide which ones to share or enhance. Images can also be downloaded directly to your device or removed if no longer needed.


Save to your device:

  • Press and hold an image to open the menu.
  • Tap the download icon to save it to your tablet’s photo library.
  • Delete unwanted images directly from the gallery.


Enhancing Your Images - AI Enhancement


Captured snapshots can be further improved using the AI Enhance Image feature available in the VirtualPools Dashboard. This enhancement process refines lighting, textures, and overall image clarity to create a more realistic and polished result. It helps smooth visual edges, improve material definition, and enhance water and reflection details.

Two ways to access AI Enhancement:


A. From the App

  1. Open your Snapshot Gallery.
  2. Tap "Go to Dashboard" on the screen.

B. From your Computer

  1. Log in to https://dashboard.virtualpools.io/en-US/login
  2. Go to Customers → Snapshots.



All images captured from the app are available here. Select a photo to open it in the editor. You will see the Original version displayed at the top.


Click AI Enhance Image to begin processing.

Once complete, you can switch between the Original and AI Enhanced versions to compare the results.

Once your image has been enhanced, you can download the final version directly from the dashboard.

In addition to being available in the dashboard, the enhanced image will also be sent automatically to the email address connected to your VirtualPools account (the email shown in your profile settings).



The enhanced visual can be shared with your client by email, messaging, or during follow-up communication. These images provide a clear and realistic reference of the proposed design in its intended environment.


High-quality visuals help document the agreed layout, materials, and positioning. They also make it easier for clients to review the project after the meeting and discuss it with others if needed.


By combining Live Mode, Human Detection, thoughtful camera positioning, and AI enhancement, you can create professional visuals that accurately represent the pool design in real space.
